ABOUT THE PUBLICATION

We don't
sell rankings.
We deliver
outcomes.

SEO for Revenue is the independent publication for revenue-led marketers across Southeast Asia. We exist because the industry's other publications still treat traffic as the prize.
Nº 01

The premise.

We started SEO for Revenue in 2023 after one too many board meetings where SEO was described in terms no CFO ever cared about. Sessions. Impressions. Position.None of these are revenue. None of these defend a budget.
We publish the work of in-house teams and agencies who've actually wired search into the P&L — and the playbooks, templates, and case studies that got them there. Five days a week, from Singapore.

The publication is independent. The agency arm — Copyleft — is what funds it. We don't take sponsored content. We don't run paid placements. When we recommend a tool, we paid for it ourselves.

Nº 01

What we publish for.

01

Revenue, not rankings

Every story must connect to a measurable business outcome. If a recommendation can't be defended to a CFO, we don't print it.
02

Show the working

Real numbers. Real screenshots. Real BigQuery joins. We do not write theory — every framework ships with a worked example.
03

Built for SEA

We cover Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines. The marketplaces, the languages, the platforms that actually matter here.
04

No gated PDFs

You should not have to give your email to read a guide. Our resources are free, ungated, and stay that way.
05

Independent of tools

We pay for every tool we test. No affiliate links, no paid placements, no "sponsored deep dives." If we like something, you can trust why.
06

Honest about losses

Our case studies include the things that didn't work. The pruning that hurt. The campaigns that flopped. The whole industry would be smarter if we all did this.
Nº 03

The origin.

Copyleft (the agency) was founded in 2019. By 2023, our team had spent four years quietly building attribution models for our clients while watching the public SEO discourse drift further from revenue and further into rankings, AI panic, and tool reviews.
"The thing we were paid to do bore almost no resemblance to what every SEO blog said we should be doing. So we started writing about what we actually did."
— Priya Subramaniam, Editor-in-Chief
The first issue went out to 87 subscribers in March 2023. Three years later, we're at 41,000+, with desks in eight subject areas, contributors across four countries, and an editorial team of seven full-time.

We are still completely independent. We still don't take sponsored content. We still publish the things that get our clients real numbers — including the things that didn't work.
